It is certainly something special for us to now be presenting cosy, elegant interior designs in New York together with Walter Knoll, known in the USA as Walter K.

 

The  Walter K. showroom, which features furniture for offices and private rooms, now also showcases various SATTLER luminaires, which set the scene for the different areas. Inter-Lux, our local partner, is also delighted with the new premises and looks forward to exploring them with guests.

 

 

An interior that makes you feel at home even in the office

At the round table

In the middle of Broadway, Walter K.'s showroom invites you to spend time together at a round wooden table with special soft and clear edges. Eating, talking, lingering.

 

The round DOPPIO pendant light further emphasises the harmonious, rounded character of this room setting. 

 

Cosy Reading Corner

Space next to an entrance door. Grey wall in front of which lies a light green round rug, on which stands a comfortable light-coloured armchair and two small side tables; on the right of the picture, a rod floor lamp, FINO PENDANT, with a champagne gold-coloured surface, illuminates the seating area.

Here, you'll want to wait a little longer for your appointment and enjoy the cosy reading corner. Create a little holiday island moment with the round rug, small side tables and armchair by Walter K. and the champagne gold FINO FLOOR reading light by SATTLER. All you need now is your favourite book and you can immerse yourself in a little time out.

Circular segments create an inviting, cosy atmosphere both during the day and at night

Right next to the desk is an inviting seating area.

 

Whether you're chilling out or having a discussion here, the pleasant atmosphere supports both. This is created by the circular segments in the form of the quarter-circle Walter Knoll sofa and the rounded triangles of the SLIM DELTA pendant light series from SATTLER. The rest is determined by the people and the topics they bring with them.

 

An extra spotlight on the minimalist FINO FLOOR floor lamp provides flexible reading light for anyone settling into the bright, comfortable armchair.

 

 

Focused Work

They say that learning is only possible when it's fun, and since work is also a lifelong learning process and we spend a lot of time there, it should also be enjoyable. Last but not least, the environment can help to create the right conditions for this and enable us to be productive. Everyone works in their own way, and that's a good thing, because that's the only way to achieve the best results. This means that there are a wide range of requirements for workplace design and various solutions for this, including furniture from Walter Knoll and lighting from SATTLER. Individual examples can also be found in the showroom.

Behind a green sofa is a parallel workstation table group with chairs on both sides, above which hangs a black pendant light, AVVENI PENDANT 6, which branches out several times, with the round, flat light heads forming the end of each branch.

Conscious short breaks are also a great way to stimulate fresh and creative thinking. A change of location can also help. A short walk in the countryside is ideal. If this can only take place in your mind, then a comfortable sofa is probably the best place to do it. Meeting colleagues at a communicative bar often provides a pleasant change and sometimes the best ideas.

The right lighting is essential for creating the perfect atmosphere. Floor lamps provide ambient lighting that can be individually adjusted. The floor lamps shown here are examples of elegant lighting solutions from SATTLER:

Avveni Floor 3

Avveni Floor – The floor lamp with round lighting heads – here shown as the Avveni Floor 3 model with three movable lamp heads, which can illuminate several areas at once when positioned accordingly. It can also be dimmed using a minimalist push button.

Along the counter, the cylindrical, narrow Fino Pendant provides particularly focused and softly fading points of light, while the elegant surface of the luminaire housing in warm champagne gold serves as an additional cosy accessory.

In any case, Sven Sattler, one of the managing directors of SATTLER, had a big grin on his face when he visited the showroom in New York in October 2025. And he is not the only one who is delighted that many other lighting and furniture enthusiasts can now enjoy the same experience.

Between the brown leather sofa and leather armchair stands a black floor lamp with a round base from which a triple-branched cylindrical lamp base extends vertically upwards to the flat round lamp heads, the silver or gold lamp heads are partially turned from behind with the light side facing the black wall.
