SATTLER lighting in pCon
Plan our lights directly within the room – using configurable 3D data in pCon.catalog.

Digital planning with pCon
pCon is a well-established design environment for architecture, interior design and commercial fit-out. It enables configurable products to be integrated directly into the design and coordination process.
SATTLER luminaires are available in the pCon.catalog as digital 3D and configuration data. This means that luminaires can not only be placed as static objects, but can also be customised to suit specific projects – for example, in terms of size, design, finish or spatial arrangement.
In this way, lighting is considered at an early stage in the design of a space: not simply added as an afterthought, but visible, verifiable and reusable as an integral part of the architectural planning.

Compatible with CAD, BIM and visualisation
Using pCon does not mean breaking with existing design processes. SATTLER luminaires can be configured in pCon, adapted to the room and then integrated into various digital workflows.
Depending on the version of pCon used and the design environment, data can be exported into common formats or processed further – for example, for CAD drawings, 3D models, visualisations or subsequent coordination processes.
This means that SATTLER luminaires become integrable design data – precise, configurable and usable in existing CAD, BIM, visualisation and quotation processes.
Interfaces and export formats
pCon supports various exchange formats and plug-in solutions that enable design data to be imported into existing CAD, BIM and visualisation processes. The formats and functions available depend on the version of pCon being used, the relevant target software and the specific workflow.
AutoCAD / AutoCAD Architecture
For traditional CAD workflows, pCon data can be reused via formats such as DWG or DXF. In addition, a pCon.catalog plug-in for AutoCAD is available, which allows configurable 3D data to be integrated directly into AutoCAD-based design processes.
DWG / DXF
DWG and DXF are among the most important exchange formats for CAD design. They are particularly suitable for drawings, floor plans, 2D/3D CAD data and further processing in CAD programmes.
SketchUp
For design models and 3D planning, data can be reused via SKP or other 3D formats, depending on the workflow. In addition, pCon offers plug-in extensions that allow pCon.catalog to be integrated into SketchUp-based planning processes.
Vectorworks
There are also pCon integrations available for Vectorworks. Using the relevant plug-in or pCon.xcad solutions, configurable 2D and 3D data can be integrated into Vectorworks-based designs and subsequently used for further processes.
Autodesk Revit
A pCon.catalog plugin is available for Autodesk Revit. This allows RGFX files exported from pCon.planner PRO to be imported into Revit projects. The data can be used there in the same way as Revit families; in addition to geometries, key product information is also provided.
3D visualisation and rendering
Depending on the pCon version, different geometry formats can be used for visualisations and renderings, such as 3DS, SKP, OBJ, FBX, GLTF, DAE/Collada, STL or USD. These formats serve as the basis for further 3D and rendering workflows.
Working with light in a room
Lights are not considered in isolation, but are designed within a spatial context.
Place
Position SATTLER lights directly within the 3D model and see how they look in the room.
Configure
Adjust sizes, proportions and finishes to suit your specific project requirements.
Vote
Develop the geometry, layout and suspension system in harmony with the architecture and intended use.
Reuse
Depending on your workflow, transfer the data into your CAD, BIM or visualisation environment and incorporate it into existing design processes.
Product selection in pCon
A large part of the SATTLER range is available as configurable 3D data and can be used directly in the planning process.
Ring lights
e.g. the SLIM, CIRCOLO or ANELLO ranges – for clean lines and a dramatic spatial effect
Linear systems
e.g. PALADIO – for structured lighting in work and circulation areas
Delicate pendant lights and rod-shaped designs
e.g. FINO, PALITO or FIO – for precise lighting accents and flexible arrangements
Acoustic solutions with lighting
e.g. BAFFEL or SOFT – combining lighting quality and room acoustics
Many products can be configured directly in terms of their dimensions, finishes and lighting characteristics, and can be adapted to meet project-specific requirements.
Access to SATTLER in pCon
SATTLER luminaires are available within the pCon ecosystem for various planning phases – from initial research through to professional project planning. Depending on your application, you can use either the publicly accessible pCon.catalog or the extended B2B/OFML data, subject to personal authorisation.
Public pCon.catalog – for research, inspiration and initial planning
Using the public pCon.catalog, you can quickly search for SATTLER luminaires, view them in a room setting and use them for initial designs. This data is particularly suitable for the early planning phase, for visualising luminaires in a room and for presenting initial design ideas.
Ideal for:
- initial product selection
- Inspiration and comparison of options
- 3D visualisation in a room
- Design and presentation phases
B2B catalogue and OFML data – for professional project planning
SATTLER product data is also available in B2B/OFML format for detailed planning, configuration and further processing. This access is aimed in particular at architects, interior designers, lighting designers, specialist retailers and project partners who wish to use SATTLER luminaires in specific projects.
With B2B access, SATTLER luminaires can be configured in greater detail, depending on the product, and used alongside relevant planning data – for example, including variants, sizes, finishes, technical information and other product-related data for professional project work.
Ideal for:
- detailed project planning
- detailed product configuration
- Use of OFML data
- Preparation of quotations and parts lists
- Collaboration with the planning, sales and specialist retail departments
