Lighting at the reception desk
- The right light for both sides -

Visual task Visitors
The first stop for patients at the dental practice of the O.P.I. Centre in Darmstadt is the reception area. Here they register and fill out any necessary paperwork. The straight counter is illuminated by simple round recessed downlights from the BE series. This allows the different materials, colours and lines of the interior design to take effect without being interrupted by pendant lights. At the same time, sufficient light is provided for filling out forms, and the windows to the staff are barrier-free and open.
Visual task for medical assistants
The medical assistants sit on the other side of the counter and welcome clients. Here, too, forms have to be filled out and paperwork done, both on paper and on the computer. Computer workstations require special lighting, which is regulated by DIN EN 12464-1.
Here, glare-free lighting with PALADIO 35 LENS pendant luminaires with a low UGR value was used. Due to the quality of the light, the linear pendant luminaires could be suspended high enough that they are not visible from the visitors' side and do not detract from the calm appearance of the reception counter.

Lighting in the back office
Screen work is also necessary in the back office of a doctor's practice, and here too, consideration was given to the appropriate lighting for people, visual tasks and activities.
At the same time, the interior design firm opted for a consistent, clear and pleasant interior design appearance and lighting concept.
The linear pendant luminaire PALADIO LENS 35 with square mini lenses arranged in sections and groups not only impresses with its low glare values (UGR<19), which are ideal for computer workstations. The illuminance for computer workstations (500 lx) has also been tested.
The lumen output of the selected PALADIO LENS 35 makes it possible to illuminate two workstations simultaneously with just one pendant luminaire. For open-plan offices, there is also the option of choosing a longer version of the linear luminaire.
Cabinets running along the wall are illuminated by the light cones of the discreet round recessed downlights.
Flexible lighting in the waiting area

Straight lines meet flexibility. Thanks to the wide range of variations in the PALADIO linear luminaire series from SATTLER, it is possible to create a uniform look while still allowing for individuality.
The PALADIO TRACK power rail version was used in the waiting areas. On the indirect side, the pendant luminaire illuminates the ceiling via uniform diffusers, creating a friendly, bright atmosphere.
On the direct side, different lighting elements can be used and quickly exchanged. Currently, the movable cylindrical EVOLUTION SPOTs are in use together with straight reflectors.
Pleasantly timelessly modern.
