Atmospherically staged

Atmospheric lighting for culinary creations:
SATTLER illuminates the historic and stylistically diverse ambience of a cooking school in Ludwigsburg. The delicate pendant lights from the Doppio and Slim Ellipse series set the scene for the dining tables and accentuate the architecture of the elaborately restored half-timbered building.
The Andrea Lange cooking school moved into one of the oldest buildings on Ludwigsburg's market square in 2015. Prior to this, the entire 200 square metre floor was redesigned in terms of both construction and lighting technology. After gutting the half-timbered house, Ludwigsburg architects Walter Henger and Volker Heyn created a connection to the building's history by renovating the oak floor, carefully restoring the ceilings and installing handcrafted doors. The rooms were redesigned: In addition to the spacious kitchen as the centrepiece of the cooking school, the large and small halls and the hunting room serve as welcoming places for communal dining.

A lively mix of different styles:
Whether for a cooking group, party or event location: the furniture is arranged to suit the size of the group and the occasion. New and old furniture, modern art and a collection of antlers from friends – everything has its place here. This lively mix of different styles is atmospherically illuminated by SATTLER's delicate yet sculptural luminaires.

Special lighting atmosphere
The ring-shaped luminaires from the Doppio series and SATTLER's newly developed Slim Ellipse create a special lighting atmosphere above the various dining and bar tables. After the participants in the cooking events have worked intensively in the kitchen, they can now enjoy their culinary creations in an unobtrusive and pleasantly bright light that falls evenly on the tables. The indirect light accentuates the historic stucco canopies and lends the entire ambience a sense of quality and atmosphere.
The lights remain on even during daytime events. Together with the daylight that falls through the large south-west-facing windows, they ensure harmonious, even illumination of the rooms. ‘Our guests are enthusiastic about the interior of the cooking school, and the location is booked for other events as well as cooking events because of its special atmosphere,’ says owner Andrea Lange.
